Our estimator shows $0-$15,000 for small and mid-size IES projects and $0-$25,000 for large ones. The $0 floor reflects Intuit’s included Desktop migration; the upper bound is our assumption for accountant/partner time on multi-entity design, dimensions, intercompany rules and integrations. No public source prices IES partner setup, so treat the upper bound as low-confidence.
Where IES setup gets expensive
- Inventory-heavy businesses: third-party reviews report no serial/lot tracking, backorder control or barcode scanning (Synder, 2026-02-18) - you may need an add-on inventory app and its integration.
- Many entities: each entity and its intercompany rules must be designed; subscription estimates also step up with entity count (see IES pricing).
- Dimensions: up to 20 custom dimensions (Synder, 2026-02-18) - design them before migration, not after.
